Technologies: Wind Turbine
Wind power capacity has increased dramatically in the U.S. recently. Wind energy as one the most
important kinds of the renewable energy sources has played a significant role in the growth of the
renewable resources. Because of its characteristics of the environmental-compatibility and also the
economical fuel costs, it has experienced fast development in the recent years. A simple comparison with
about ten years ago, it is perceived that the current technologies of wind turbines have become more
powerful, more efficient and more affordable for power producers. Increasing the wind turbine capacity
and providing more economical technologies have been the main focus of power engineering researchers
and experts in the last years.

While the focus on increasing the power produced from wind turbines may be on the capacity factor,
another way is to make sure wind turbines are operational and available. According to the recent statistical
data, while the onshore wind turbine industry is going strong, USA is looking toward the possibility of
constructing more offshore wind capacity in the near future. The needs of offshore wind production require
different solutions than onshore. RSGC team is dedicated for providing new solutions and ideas to support
the fast growth of wind turbine in both onshore and offshore areas.

Smart Grid
Smart Grid is the gateway to  relibale  and
efficient electric grids which  supports the
developement   of   the  smart  generation,
smart metering  and smart control. To this
end,  the     bidirectional     communication
between the   utility  and customers based
on digital  technology  helps the smart grid
idea.   Smart   grid    consists   of controls,
computers, automation, metering and new
equipment  to facilitate   the  accurate and
responsive reaction of the network in both
normal and emergency situations.
In 2015,  the  United  States  generated  about  4 trillion
kilowatthours of electricity.  About 67% of the electricity
generated  was  from fossil fuels (coal, natural gas, and
petroleum)....
